Ron Taft

Ron Taft is an internationally renowned Brand Marketing and Communications professional with a passionate and in-depth knowledge of strategic brand marketing, advertising, interactive media, emerging technologies, design and visual effects.

Ron’s many disciplines emanate from his advertising agency, television network, and film studio background. His vast experience in both the corporate and retail sectors makes him a uniquely qualified thought leader.

Ron has worked in an executive capacity and in close association with most of the major studios, networks, and entertainment companies, including ABC, CBS, FOX, HBO, UPN, VH1, Sony Pictures, Paramount Television, Paramount Pictures, Universal Television, Showtime Networks, TVGuide, DMX Music, Microsoft/WebTV, TiVo and numerous other new media and technology companies.

In addition to having a working knowledge of programming development, sales and distribution, Ron’s hands-on expertise in all forms of film, television and music production also includes music composition, arranging, and commercial directing. He brings strategic architecture and design to all communications and has left his creative mark on a string of successful network image campaigns, show launches, brand identities, corporate and product marketing campaigns and websites.

Ron Taft left his position as Executive Vice President, Creative Director at Dailey & Associates Advertising in 2006 and started his own Brand Marketing and Communications company. While at Dailey, Ron’s responsibilities included building and heading-up the Dailey Interactive division and Dailey’s Brand Design group. He combined the disciplines of entertainment marketing, product advertising, corporate branding and commercial directing to create some of Dailey’s most innovative multi-media solutions. His flair for expressing unique branding, in focused and startling design concepts, has earned him a trove of international awards.

Prior to joining Dailey, Ron created offline and online campaigns for such networks as CBS, FOX, HBO, UPN and VH1. He also launched packages encompassing over twenty television series, which earned him a reputation for creating marketing communications that were often judged to be more compelling than the shows themselves.

Ron was a top creative executive with NextLeft, the legendary Pittard Sullivan, and Columbia Pictures Television. He began his career with Wells, Rich, Greene, and has a broad background that includes significant marketing and branding contributions to such major brands as Harley Davidson, Gateway Computers, The Waitt Family Foundation, Restoration Hardware, Smith & Hawken, Guitar Center, Alpine Mobile Electronics, Roland Corporation U.S., Countrywide Home Loans, Guthy-Renker and Nestlé.

Currently, Ron is launching a global brand identity for Evergreen Investment, a company that develops energy-efficient, sustainable commercial building projects incorporating advanced energy technologies and systems. He is a board member of The Evergreen Project, established for securing and distributing funds to support projects focusing on alternative, non-fossil fuel dependent energy acquisition, research and education.

Ron also serves on the board of The Quincy Jones Foundation Music Consortium, The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, and has produced campaigns and the like for other related organizations, including Music Rising, The NARAS Foundation, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Kidspace Children’s Museum.
