How has music impacted your life?
Music IS my life.
Are you teacher?
A teacher, a teacher trainer, a teacher trainer trainer, and founder of a npo that trains teachers :-)
IMy organization trains classroom teachers to integrate music daily. We have active programs in over 20 states and are reaching more than half a million student per year with integrated music. There are 56 trainers on faculty and we work with about 3,000 classroom teachers each year providing free teacher training throughout the school year. Teachers may borrow a guitar if they need one, and they receive all their musical supplies gratis courtesy of our generous sponsors who want very much to help them learn.

Guitars in the Classroom receives grants from The NAMM Foundation, The D'Addario Music Foundation, GAMA (Guitars and Accessories Marketing Association), The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation, The Wishlist Foundation, The Music for Life Alliance, and others! Please visit our site at www.guitarsintheclassroom.org to learn more.

f you are interested in making music education more accessible, I'd appreciate the chance to learn about your ideas and work. Please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can share knowledge and resources.

Hi Jess,

Actually it is Madelyn's idea!

I am keen to see what she has in mind, in addition to teaching my students I also gently mentor a number of our teachers. I'll make sure to find out more and I'll keep you posted.
