How has music impacted your life?
Growing up in New Orleans, music wrapped its arms around my life...from second lining in the French Quarter at Jazz Funerals to hearing about my Mom's radio show interviews with Satchmo, Louis Armstrong, I clearly understood at a young age about the healing and inspirational power of music! I grew up dancing and really regret not studying music now surrounded by my amazing musician friends in our Consortium!!

Hi, Madelyn,

What are you up to in New Orleans? Can GITC help? We have active, vital programs in Madisonville (Tammany Parish right outside of NO), in Mandeville (Vermilion Parish) and up in Alexandria. Lots of great teachers integrating music in the schools there. We'd love to supprt your efforts if it's appropriate. George Winston raised funds for our work in Louisiana in November. Blessings, Jess
