- How has music impacted your life?
- Music is my life! Growing up in a single parent home with an incredibly abusive father, music gave me hope, and that hope came with profound impact in the form of an amazing music teacher. He steered a very lost and lonely child off the road of self-destruction and onto a path of inspiration, creativity, self-expression and discovery that forever changed his (my) life.
Now, as a professional musician and music recordist for one of HBO's greatest series ever, I realize that I owe it all to the choice my teacher made to mentor and inspire me to embrace the wonderfully empowering world of music.
without him and the gift of music, I'm sure that, right now, i would be trying to figure out how to break-out of the state penitentiary instead of writing about the impact music has had on my life.
